Samsung Infuse and HP Veer Sale Now On AT&T

These two smartphones probably couldn’t be any different if they tried on the left, we’ve got the tiny 2.6-inch HP Veer with webOS on board, and on the right is Samsung’s Infuse 4G ($200 on AT&T after a new 2-year contract), a giant 4.5-inch Android that costs twice as much on contract. They do have two important things in common, however: they’re both available on AT&T right now.

The Veer has a 2.6-inch, 320-by-400-pixel display, which is pretty small compared with the 3.5-inch or larger displays we see on almost all new smartphones today. The keyboard–a vertical-sliding keyboard with Chiclet-style keys–is similar to those on the older Palm phones. The Veer runs HP WebOS 2.1.1, support for Adobe Flash Plugin 10.1. The tiny Veer packs in a solid 5-megapixel camera, but unfortunately it does not have a flash.

The Infuse features a 4.5-inch display that takes advantage of Samsung’s new Super AMOLED Plus technology with HD dupport. It runs Android 2.2 (Froyo), but is due to get version 2.3 (Gingerbread) later this year. The phone has a 1.2GHz single-core processor, 8MP camera,
with 1.3-megapixel camera for video chatting on its front face. Also has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top, and the micro-USB charging port at the bottom doubles as an HDMI-out. Acording to PCworld review, The Samsung Infuse is a great device for media consumption, provided you can get over the text- and image-rendering issues. Reading pixilated text on that otherwise gorgeous 4.5-inch display is just a tad heartbreaking, to say the least. But if you are someone who is likes to watch movies on the go, then this is the phone for you. HP veer, It’s petite, pocketable size, as well as its QWERTY keyboard, suggests that it is meant for a younger, social-networking-savvy crowd. The robust multitasking, account syncing, and search tools, however, would be suitable for business users.

HP Pre 3 Available On This Summer

With a launch expected sometime in the first half of the year, we would expect to hear more about the model, but so far HP has been fairly quiet about the webOS flagship model. it’s HP Pre3. Its thin exterior and gorgeous touchscreen conceal an email engine, slide-out keyboard, and robust battery that mean business. it has 8GB and 16GB storage options.

The QWERTY slider with the all-too-familiar form factor has a 3.6-inch 800 x 480 display (a marked improvement over past Pres), 5 megapixel camera with AF and LED flash, 720p HD video, a front-facing camera for video calling, mobile hotspot, and webOS 2.2. And while we’re sure that HP would like to bang the drum for the Pre 3, it will take much more than a picture like this to interrupt the constant attention that the Apple iPhone and Android handsets have been receiving. We would imagine that once we have a firm launch date for the device, the HP
Pre 3 will get the amount of headlines that the webOS community would like to see it receive. This one’s gonna keep you waiting, though availability is this summer.

HP Veer Available In Germany On Early Summer

HP Veer will available in early Summer 2011. The Veer will sale in Germany on May with O2 as the mobile network operator. This device also will launch at other countries in Europe and then US. But no information which US carrier will bring this phone. Sadly no word about the price, but we hope this phone will cheaper than Pre3. Stay tuned for further info.

HP Pre 3 comes with webOS 2.2

HP Pre 3 announced as “a smartphone for professionals without giving up personal passions”, the HP Pre 3 with webOS 2.2 has a 3.6″ display at 480×800 pixels of resolution, 5MP camera with “video stabilization” and a front-facing cam. The phone comes at 0.63 (16mm) inches thickness and 5.5 ounces (156 grams) of weight. There is, of course, full Adobe Flash support in the browser. Under the hood, you’ve got a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor powering the device with 512MB RAM and a choice between an 8GB or 16GB model. The other big improvement is that the 5-megapixel camera can shoot HD video. Otherwise it is compatible with the new version of the Touchstone charging gizmo, and has a 1230mAh battery. We do know, however, that there will be an HSPA+ version and a EV-DO Rev. A world phone, which opens up the possibilities of multicarrier support. Unfortunately, carrier and pricing were not announced today, and the Pre 3 won’t be available till the summer.

HP Veer The Tiny Handset For The Young Generation

HP Veer has been announced, this is the smallest webOS device from Hewlett-Packard and Palm. This tiny handset size only 3.25 inch “about the size of a credit card”, the display size is a 2.6 inch 320×400 resolution, and a small slide out QWERTY keyboard. The Veer feature a Qualcomm 7230 Snapdragon processor, clocked at 800 MHz

The chipset built with the 45nm technology, wheter the display will provide bearable screen real estate though remains to be seen. Not only that, this phone also has a 5 MP camera plus Wi-Fi, GPS, microUSB port, Bluetooth, audio jack and run on HSPA+ network, like AT&T and T-Mobile. The Veer has memory 512MB RAM (same with Palm Pre 2) and has 8GB of built in storage. No information about the price.

HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian Specs Leaked!

HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian specs has just leaked. GSMArena show us a pamflet containing the HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian full specs. This smartphone using Windows Mobile 6.5 combined with a QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen. The screen is 2.46″ using AMOLED technology.

HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian runs on a 528MHz CPU with 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM. The Obsidian also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 for the connectivity. A microUSB, 3.5mm audio jack and a built-in GPS complete this phone. You can also use microSD card slot to expand the internal storage. And finally, the camera has 3.2 megapixels providing better pictures.

The HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian release date is on starting November and carried by AT&T.
